MALAYSIAN COFFEE, KOPI

In Malaysia as compared to western country, our coffee in Malaysia are pronounce as KOPI in Malay. Due to the different cultures and taste of Malaysian, our black coffee have only one type where in western they have 4 basic black coffee beverage. As for white coffee, we have 2 types of white coffee where in western country, they have more variety to choose from.

Malaysian type of coffee

BLACK COFFEE ( without milk)

Kopi O Extraction of coffee by using a stockings like filter. You can either go without sugar or with sugar. If you prefer with Ice, KOPI O BING is what we call it.

Kopi O is most likely Malaysian style black coffee where it has espresso body yet it is much closer to Americano flavour.

Coffee Body : Thick

Coffee Texture : Smooth

Coffee Flavour : Depending of the beans selected, it can be acidic or nutty (usually locals coffee beans)

WHITE COFFEE (with milk)

Kopi

A combination of Kopi O, Condensed Milk and Evaporated milk. You can either go with ice or without, if you prefer iced, KOPI BING is what we call it.

Coffee Body : Thick

Coffee Texture : Slightly towards a little bit of rough

Coffee Flavour : Usually sweet due to the condensed milk and with a hint of chocolatety taste

Kopi C

Almost the same with Kopi, what is different is it only have the combination of Kopi O & Evaporated milk. You can either go with ice or without, if you prefer iced, KOPI C BING is what we call it.

Coffee Body : Thick

Coffee Texture : Smooth

Coffee Flavour: More distinct coffee taste compare to Kopi as it is not sweetened by condensed milk and smooth end as it enter your throat

Cham

Mixtures of a specific ratio of Kopi O, Tea & condensed milk. Like the others, if you prefer with ice, Cham Bing is what we call it.

Coffee Body : Thick

Coffee Texture : Smooth as it enter your mouth & slightly rough as it enter your throat

Coffee Flavour : Due to the combination of tea, kopi O & condensed milk, it give a unique taste depending of selection of tea they choose to mix with
